Last Sunday we did a short test to see how the kids are learning and how much effort is required to make them even better. Alhamdollilah I saw some really good results and some that need a lot of work. Results will be sent home at the end of term. Meanwhile I have attached this link for a game of word meanings from first 4 Surah’s from Juz ‘Amma Volume 1 book.   We did a lot of practice last week in class. For this week Students are suppose to revise page 7-10. New students and the students who are struggling with Alphabets will be tested only on page 7.

We finished revision Surah Al-fatiha up to Al-Lahab (5). students are requested to practice at home word meanings, Qalqala letters, Shadda, story behind the surah. There will be a short quiz/test. All kids are expected to attend the class and be prepared including bringing pencil eraser sharpener, so we don’t waste time and focus more on test.

Asalamoalikum wrmt, This week we again practiced the same pages (7-9) from last week. It was quite upsetting to see not many students practiced at home. We have hardly 30 minutes to teach so we request parents to help your kids revise the pages they have learnt in class. everyday 10-15 minutes are very important for the kids future and most importantly to please ALLAH swt (the more the better). Next few weeks are the assessment weeks. I hope they all do good for term 2 reports.

This week we revised first 5 surah’s with word meaning and short explanation. InShaALLAh we are ready for the test which will take place in next 1-2 weeks. This week students have been asked to write a story from any of those surah’s to give them confidence and a constant reminder of the story . ***Our Students of the Week are Luay Asfour, Abdullah Khan and Zunairah Sayeed. Masha ALLAH TabarakaALLAH. Luay is been chosen third time in a row for good word meaning and remembering the story of the Surah.(ALLAHO AKBAR). May ALLAH keep all the children achieving high grades and hoping this week some more students will get the title of Student of the week. Keep up the good work.

Students in Level 2 Arabic Activity learned all the Arabic Alphabets and now they have move on to words made with alphabets. Students in level 2 Islamic Studies learned the reason for Wudu and how is done step by step. Please follow the steps when they do their Wudu. They were shown a video about wudu Please help the students to do Wudu properly. Alhamdulilla some of them already knows how to do Wudu but need bit practice. Encourage them to do Wudu before Salah. Student in level 3 learned having cleansed by Wudu how they proceed to perform Salah. They understood Wudu is a ritual cleansing process. Before begin Salah, however,they must have a clean body, a clean place to pray, and wearing clothing free of impurities. As minimum clothing required during Salah. They learned the steps of Salah and what need to be said in each steps. All the students did all the steps in Salah in practical. Salah will be one of the main topic for the coming test in two weeks. Alhamdollilah students practiced page 7,8,9 and 10. The students who joined us recently or still having trouble recognising Alphabets had extra help in the class and they practiced page 7. We have been asking them to practice at home every day 10-15 minutes. It was a big disappointment to see that not many students practiced at home. Masculine and Feminine Nouns – المذكر و المؤنّثُ Introduction In Arabic language words are either masculine or feminine. A masculine word can be changed to a feminine by adding any of the following three symbols at the end of a masculine word: • ة called Tā’ Marbūŧah, • اء called Alif Mamdūdah or • ىٰ called Alif Maqŝūrah. Today (8 May 2016) students learned the reason for Wudu and how is done step by step. As Wudu (ablution) includes material and spiritual cleaning together and enables material cleanliness; it is an indispensable step of worshipping that gives a Muslim peace in heart and spiritual power. A Muslim prepares himself for worshipping spiritually and bodily when he makes Wudu. A Muslim who makes Wudu is purified and cleaned from both material and spiritual ways. His sins are washed away as he washes body parts; it is stated that each body parts washed for Wudu will shine brightly on the Day of Resurrection. Please follow the steps when they do their Wudu.   Asalamoalikum wrmt, Alhamdllilah some new students been welcomed in week2 as well. To help them be a part of class some extra support is provided within class. JazakALLAH khair for the sister’s help in the class. Students are grouped in three groups. Advance students who can recognise all the Alphabets with Fatha and they can recognise bite your tongue letters, throat letters and somewhat heavy letters. group 2 and 3 is still focusing on the recognition of Alphabets. I hope some help at home will be provided to motivate kids to practice everyday 10-15 minutes to improve makharij and recognition of Alphabets.. It is highly recommended that students should go to students corner-activity nook and practice Alphabets. Throatle letters, bite your tongue letters. and heavy and light letters.

  Students in level 2 learned that Allah is the One and only true God. There is no other God but Allah. He is the Most High, and is perfect. Al-Ahad means Allah Is One. They learned that Allah created the earth and all humans. We cannot see Allah but what we see in nature including the animals, plants and flowers are all signs of Allah’s power. Allah sees, hears and knows everything but does not sleep or eat, as Allah is NOT like us. Allah has no children, wife or parents but Allah can do everything. As Muslims, we were created to worship Allah and obey His rules. Allah loves and cares for us. Alllah is one_Lesson 11

Students in level 3 Islamic Studies has learned how to do Iqama, who does it and when it is done. Iqama refers to the second call to Islamic Prayer, given immediately before the prayer begins. Generally, the iqamah is given more quickly and in a more monotonous fashion, compared to the adhan. As they have learned Adahn last week they now understand what is Iqama and can seperate it from Adahan. Please practice Iqama at home when you are doing Salah as it it recommended to do Iqama before salah. Homework is attached. Assalamu Alaikum Wr Wbr, Continuing with the Topic of “Allah (SWT)”, this week the children identified Allah as the One who made everything, he is Al Khaliq (The Creator) by naming some of the most amazing creations of Allah (SWT), Allah as Al Qawi (All Powerful) and as Ar Razzak (The Provider). Alhamdulillah, the lesson was completed by introducing a song, “The Creator”, which helped the children revise all that has been discussed and learnt during the last two lessons. Wasalam.
