CIS 2022 End-of-Year Prize-Giving Assembly

Image
Alhamdulillah, we had a lovely day to end the year (Sun, 11 Dec 2022). It was a day to celebrate the hard work put in by students, teachers and parents. A successful year comes not only with the learning of what was taught in class, but also with making good friends, coming to school on time and regularly, being ready for class, and most of all, through applying what was learnt - offering salaam to others, good manners, helping others, and even a simple smile. Let us all, young and old, continue applying these great attributes in our daily lives Alhamdulillah, there was a good turn out on the day. Br Hassan El Zein was the chief guest and he handed out the prizes to students. A total of 99 Class Certificates were awarded and 3 Principal's awards. The CIC Canteen also awarded Certificates of Contribution to those students who helped out for 3 or more days at Canteen.  You can see the  Canteen Newsletter here Here are some photos of the Awards: Level 1 Awards Leve...

2022 Dolphin Cruise Excursion

Image
Alhamdulillah, on Sat, 12 Nov, Allah blessed us with a beautiful day,  good company and I hope, exciting, productive activities on the excursion to Huskisson for the Dolphin Cruise. The dolphins did put on a small but impressive show, SubhanAllah! There were not as many dolphins as we had seen on our previous trips. I do hope everyone got to see them. The Jervis Bay Maritime Museum and grounds was a lovely place to relax, play and pray together, Alhamdulillah. Some enjoyed a game of cricket while others went exploring the Crab Walk and the mangroves, the gardens, the museum or just having a rest under the trees. I hope everyone enjoyed the lunch supplied by Metro Worrigee Kebabs - beef, chicken and falafel kebabs and fish & chips. Alhamdulillah, we prayed Dhuhr and 'Asr as Jumm and Qasr by Jama'ah. The group photo turned out excellent - thank you for all your cooperation! Getting a good photo of such a large group is quite an achievement for everyone involved! Ma...

The Annual CIS Iftar - 2022

Image
It was such a blessing that we could have a gathering for the CIS Iftar on Sunday, 3 April. Alhamdulillah! It was especially cooling to the heart to see so many young helpers don gloves and help with the Iftar plating and setup with excitement and smiles! MashaAllah, well done! Jazakumullahu Khairan to: all the helpers all contributions toward the Iftar and dessert and all attendees!  And an extra special thank you to: those who stayed the hard slog through the final clean-up, tidying and putting away materials to their rightful place, and  to those who went above and beyond and helped out from setup to pack-up.  We could not have done it without each and every one!  Alhamdulillah! CIS Families would have received an email with a link to the photos and videos from the occasion.
